Afrobeats singer and performer, Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake, also known as Mr Money, has again wormed his way into the hearts of his fans with the release of his highly anticipated third studio album, titled, Lungu Boy.
The 13-track project with a bonus Fuji track was released yesterday across all platforms and channels. It features collaborations with high profile acts such as Wizkid, Travis Scott, Central Cee, Ludmilla and Stormzy, who are heavyweights in the global music landscape.
The opening track MMS was spiced up by Wizkid, thus, paving the way for other hit tracks and incredible global stars. Travis Scott comes in track 5 with Active, while Stormzy lent his voice in Suru on track 6. Wave, featuring UK rap sensation, Central Cee, attained its spot in track 8 and serves as a pre-album track having been released earlier.
Paired with a dynamic music video, Active, with production imprint from Sarz and Dean, also interpolates the beats and vocals of Bonsuwe Fuji master, Adewale Ayuba.
Prior to the album release, fans stormed all social media platforms to bid on their anticipation after Asake confirmed the release date. Lungu Boy is not just a musical project; it’s a testament to Asake’s evolution and his unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of Afrobeat music.
