Odinaka Chike-Enigwe, popularly known as Big Daddy of Lagos, is an act to look out for. The hip-hop and highlife (hip-life) crooner has been thrilling fans with his alluring music.
With many singles and an EP to show for his artistic sojourn, plans are near completion for him to release his latest album to the market and for his numerous fans.
“I do not want to comment yet on my coming album and the launch. But be informed that the songs are thrilling and anybody listening to them would want to do so repeatedly,” he said.
“My parents have been my greatest supporters right from childhood when I showed interest in music to date that I now perform in different events and travel from state to state doing my songs. They are my number one fans.”
A regular feature of Carnival Calabar, Felabration, among other musical events, he disclosed that musical events expose artistes to new opportunities and experiences, adding that he writes and arranges his songs from events and happenings around him.
The Na My Daily Bread I Dey Find crooner is billed to perform at the 10th anniversary celebrations of Igwe Mac-Anthony Chinedu Elibe Okonkwo in August and also at the Iriji (New Yam) ceremony of Umuokwu Village Alor.
“I am grateful to the Igwe for giving me this avenue to showcase my songs and type of music to my people, and I promise I will never disappoint my fans and his royal majesty,” he said.
Big Daddy, however, recently got the bitter taste of the entertainment industry, when he was stabbed by fans. Explaining how it all happened, he said: “I am still confused on what really happened that day. I am not in enmity with anybody or had quarrels with anyone. I am friendly with everyone, but I cannot just explain how a minor argument could lead to such life threaten incident.”
