The rift between the Okoye brothers — Peter (Mr. P) and Paul (Rudeboy), formerly of the music group, P-Square, is far from being over, as Mr. P says he is moving on from P-Square, declaring “I am my own Square” as he focuses on his solo career.
Responding to an X user who said there would never be another P-Square since everything has its time, Peter agreed and confirmed that the iconic music group no longer exists. Peter Okoye emphasized that while P-Square is finished, his brothers Jude Okoye and Paul Okoye have become the new P-Square.
“Exactly! Judeboy and Rudeboy, that’s the new JPsquare. Make una manage them. It’s their time. I dey on my own, dey run my own race. I am my own Square,” Mr. P stated.
According to industry watcher, the singer’s messages formerly put paid to the official end of the group. Recall that the brothers have been embroiled in public feud and legal battle, with their elder brother Jude also involved.
Recently, Nigerian music icon Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, known professionally as D’banj, broke his silence on the ongoing feud between the famous Okoye brothers. He called for calm and suggested that national leaders step in to resolve the dispute before it escalates further.
“The saga between Peter and Jude is a very sad one. When you want to fight, you only know the beginning, you don’t know the end,” D’banj said, expressing his concerns over the deteriorating situation.
