Determined to reclaim his spot in the Afrobeats scene, singer Esegine Allen, better known by the moniker Orezi, is making waves once again. Since November 2024, he has been on a relentless streak, dropping new songs and making major moves in the industry.
He teamed up with South African artiste PCEE for a remix of his hit single, I Swear, blending Nigerian and South African sounds – Afrobeats and Amapiano. The official video, shot in South Africa and already enjoying rotations across TV stations and various streaming platforms, further amplifies the track’s reach.
The song’s release followed the success of his EP Chocolate Daddy, which featured collaborations with Tekno, Sheebah, and Daphne, showcasing his versatility. The Owhelogbo, Isoko, Delta State native began his music career in early 2009. He has worked with several producers, including Kiddominant, Del B and Dokta Frabz.
His debut single, 3, became Radio Continental’s theme song. He headlined a show named after the song; the show was organised by the Continental Broadcasting Services (CBS). The music video for the song was shot in South Africa.
He released High B.P. in 2010, with the music video endorsed by MTV Base. Later that year, he released the DJ JamJam-assisted track Jamilaya. In 2011, Orezi was featured on Emoti alongside Danagog, Igho and DJ Debby. The song enjoyed massive play time on Trace TV, MTV Base, Soundcity and One Music.
The music video for his song Booty Bounce; featured cameo appearances from Big Brother Africa star, Karen Igho; comedian Bovi, and fellow acts like Wande Coal, Kay Switch, Sina Rambo, Vina, Danagog, Skuki and General Pype, among others.
