Adeyinka Egberongbe, generally known as the Prince Negro of Africa in the entertainment industry, is set to take his African hip-hop music to different states in the United States of America.
Starting off with multiple genres of music, the Lagos State-born artiste carved a niche for himself when he settled for African hip-hop and has since been the darling of many African hip-hop music lovers. He has also featured in different music platforms and got accolades.
Producing hit songs, which include, Carry Improvement, Chocolate, among others, that are generously played on Boomplay and other music platforms, Prince Negro of Africa often referred to as Mr. President, disclosed that his planned tour of the United States next year would promote his type of music and make the world to know that Nigerians are talented and also have the gift to come out with varieties of music.
Mr. President, who writes most of his songs, said Nigeria remains the hub of African music, adding that days are gone when artistes were not free to release their songs to the market because of pirates.
According to him, technology has changed all of that, stressing that artistes can now use different music platforms to get to their fans and still make huge sums of money from fans that download online.
Debunking the belief that erotic songs sell more in the market, Mr. President disclosed that music is all about choice and what a particular individual or singer wants at a given time.
“We have different genres of music and artistes; it is all about variety. Some artistes do not talk about sex in their songs or even engage in erotic dance, yet they make huge sums of money with their songs. So, it is all about ones’ taste and what he or she has set out to achieve with songs,” he said.
