“From the very first line, the song echoes Psalm 113:3, which declares, ‘From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.’ The pre-chorus also resonates with Philippians 2:9-11, reinforcing the supremacy of Jesus,” GB Kharisma shares.
The song’s blend of standard English and pidgin makes it accessible while maintaining a deep sense of reverence. “It’s not just a song but a call to shift focus from life’s struggles to God’s eternal greatness, encouraging listeners to offer their worship and gratitude,” he added.
Reflecting on his musical journey which began at the age four when he joined the Children’s Choir at The Agodi Baptist Church in Ibadan, GB Kharisma has since released over 10 songs, including the acclaimed Hallelujah.
