Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lb. beef top sirloin steak, cut into ¾ inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp. canola oil
  • 5 finely chopped plum tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 celery ribs, cut into ½-inch pieces
  • 3 large carrots, cut into ½-inch pieces
  • 4 chopped green onions
  • ¾ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp. steak sauce
  • ¼ cup of barbecue sauce
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 tbsp. corn flour
  • ⅛ tsp. hot pepper sauce
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 2 tbsp. cold water
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • Hot rice or mashed potatoes


Procedure

1. Heat oil in a Dutch oven on medium heat.

2. Put the sugar in the pan and cook until it becomes light brown.

3. Add beef and cook on all sides.

4. Add broth, barbecue sauce, seasoning, vegetables, and steak sauce. Wait for them to boil, lower the heat, and simmer with a lid on for 1 to ¼ hours, or until the vegetables and meat become tender.

5. Add water and corn flour until it becomes creamy.

6. Add the stew, let it come to a boil, and mix for around 2 minutes or until it becomes thick.

7. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice if you want
