Seamoriow FA, other top academies to feature at maiden Digital Scouting Africa U-18 Championship

Seamoriow FA will compete at the maiden Digital Scouting Africa U-18 Championship in Ijebu-Ode,

Fastrising Alimosho-based football academy, Seamoriow FA, will participate in the inaugural edition of the Digital Scouting Africa U-18 Championship. The scouting championship is slated for 23 – 26 May at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.


Tournament organisers, Tosmicom Sports Agency, during the week announced dates for the inaugural edition of the Digital Scouting Africa U-18 championship.

In a statement to the media, the agency revealed that the championship will take centre stage from May 23 to 26 with eight teams taking part.

The CEO of Tosmicom Sports Agency, who also doubles as the founder of Digital Scouting Africa, Adebayo Oluwasegun, said after the first phase of the Digital Scouting Africa, known as the Talent Identification phase, the second phase is the training camp where players selected from the Talent Identification are invited to a training camp in Ijebu Ode for team cohesion and training and are integrated into the sister football club of Tosmicom Sports known as Africa’s Elite FC and the investor’s football club, CYAN FC with the teams participating in the scouting championship alongside other randomly invited teams who have youthful and talented players in their team.

“We actually had the first phase which was the Talent Identification phase that took us to five states and seven cities consisting of Okpanam in Delta State, Jos South and Jos North in Plateau State, Kaduna, Makurdi and Gboko in Benue State and Uyo,” he said.


“The aim of the talent Identification phase is to identify exceptional talents from the various cities and thereafter invite them to a training camp and integrate them into three of our teams consisting of Africa’s Elite South and Africa’s Elite North and Cyan FC (owned by the investor).

“It has not been an easy task since the start, but we have to appreciate our financial partner/investor Cyan Excellence Investment Nig. Ltd and also all the coordinators of each zones in the first phase of the Digital Scouting Africa.

“We are looking forward to an exciting tournament in Ijebu-Ode from May 23 with all the teams expected to give their best.”

Other participating team for the championship are Africa’s Elite (South), Africa’s Elite (North), CYAN FC, Super Stars United, D Shack FA, MKA International FC and another Alimosho-based side, Samjason FC.

The Digital Scouting Africa Championship will have in attendance Sen Hayati who is vastly connected in Europe, and Savas Topaloglu who is the Chief Scout of Turkish club Rizespor, where former Rangers International playmaker, Ibrahim Olawoyin, currently plies his trade.
