Shettima visits Buhari In Daura

Vice President Kashim Shettima yesterday visited former President Muhammadu Buhari at his private residence in Daura, Katsina State, where he held a closed door meeting with him.

The vice president also paid courtesy visits to the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Farouk Umar and his Katsina counterpart, Alhaji Abdulmumini Usman.  Shettima flew into the state in a Nigerian Air Force plane with registration number FN-FGW, and landed at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua international airport yesterday. 

He was accompanied by several dignitaries, including senators, ministers and other top government offices.  Some of those in the vice president’s entourage were the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Muhammad Mahmood Abubakar and former governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha. He was received by Governor Dikko Radda and some state government officials before they all moved together to Daura in a convoy.
