Sly Foundation donates notebooks, uniforms and sandals to schoolchildren in Delta communities

In a bid to reinforce its commitment to humanitarian services, a nongovernmental organisation, Sly Foundation, has donated notebooks, uniforms and sandals to pupils of Afiesere Primary School, Ughelli, Delta State.

Moved by the pains of his community people, the Founder of Sly Foundation, Sylvester Omobor, recently moved in to ameliorate the pains of the beneficiaries, in what can be described as a show of love.

Speaking on the rationale behind the gestures, Omobor said “since the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been difficult to get a good education and sometimes things needed for quality education.

“Every child has the right to learn so that they can shape their own future. That is why, as well as supporting children to keep learning, we are urging everyone to uphold every child right to learn.

“We are also taking measurement of the pupils without school uniforms and we are also getting sandals for them.

“I embarked on the project because I noticed, during my visit to the Afiesere Primary School, that there are so many pupils without uniforms, notebooks and sandals. Some pupils couldn’t even write their enrollment examination due to lack of finance. What I saw touched my heart so much and I had to come up with this outreach to share notebooks, sandals and uniforms to the student.

We also have some enrollment programme in place so that the pupils can complete their education and shape their own future.”

Recall that Sylvester Omobor has been in the service of philanthropy among his community people in Delta State. He has, in recent times, donated food items to his community, while embarking on other humanitarian projects.
