Singer-songwriter, and performer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, simply known as Iyanya, has said his latest album, Once Upon a Cat, wherein he featured a crop of emerging artistes was inspired by the comment of a social media troll.
The Kukere master made this known in an interview on Naija FM, where talked about the album, the motivation behind the album title and his decision to collaborate with emerging artistes like Moonlight Afriqa, Tee Dollar, Qing Madi, M3lon, Pawwz, and Young Duu, among others. He stated that the decision to feature these talents was motivated by the desire to spotlight them.
