Speaking during the induction for mainly elected branch officers across Lagos, the council chairman, Alhaji Olabode Salaudeen, said the programme was organised to equip the newly elected exco with adequate knowledge on how to pilot the affairs of the association, which will lead to increased productivity.

“ I can attest to the success of the programme and the positive impact to the society, it has allowed them to understand what the society stands for because they don’t know their responsibility and the seminar has equipped them.

He noted that society has imbibed innovative opportunities that would create an enabling environment for investment.

“We want to be more innovative, particularly we want to create an enabling environment for investment. The issues of seeking donations, begging people for money, we want to put an end to it.

“We are going to educate members on how to invest wisely to raise their living standard and also provide funding to the organisation. By doing this, we will create more businesses so that members can become resourceful in terms of wealth creation. Likewise, our youth will be encouraged to prioritise innovation instead of waiting for governments to provide jobs for them.”

He advised the new excos to be diligent in their areas of appointment.

“I pray that in the next three years when we come back to do another premier induction, we will be more productive than what we have today in terms of investment and aims and objective of the society.”

National Secretary Ansar-ud- Deen Society, Alhaji Iskeel Ola Yusuf, said the induction ceremony would acquaint the newly elected excos on how to discharge their various duties. “The purpose of organising this induction seminar is for new officers to know how to run the affairs of the society and also familiarize with the constitution of the organisation.

He assured that the officers are well trained and they will acquaint themselves with the aims and objectives of the organisation.

“I can assure you, there is no officer in any of the branches in Lagos that you will ask questions about the affair of the society that will not be able to give the correct answer.

The Chairperson, Ansar-ud- Deen Lagos Women Council, Hajia Shakirat Animashaun, said the training would go a long way to address some of the challenges bedeviling the society.
