Soulcomms appoints new COO, rebrands for 20 year anniversary

Soulcomms, a premier Strategic Communications and Engagement Agency, has announced the appointment of Ugochukwu Uwajeh as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the unveiling of a special logo to celebrate two decades of exceptional service, innovation, and operations within the communications industry.

The company’s 20th anniversary celebration was themed, “20 Years of Soulful Engagement.”Reflecting on the journey, the Group Managing Director of SO&U Group and a Board Member at Soulcomms, Udeme Ufot, shared insights into the agency’s evolution from a department within SO&U to a standalone powerhouse in strategic communications and engagement.

Ufot acknowledged the agency’s successful leadership transitions from its founding Chief Executive Officer through Yemi Odusote and Mojisola Saka, leading to Uwajeh’s new role.

With a robust background as a Public Relations and strategic communications consultant, Uwajeh previously excelled as the Group Head of Strategic Communications at Soulcomms.

His exceptional leadership, strategic foresight, and deep comprehension of the communications industry have prepared him to propel Soulcomms into its next decade of innovation and growth.


Uwajeh steps into his new position following Mojisola Saka’s successful 13-year tenure as the COO , during which the agency flourished under her guidance.

Ufot said as Soulcomms looks forward to a new chapter under Uwajeh’s leadership, the agency remains committed to driving strategic direction, fostering innovation, and maintaining its esteemed position in the dynamic landscape of communications and event management.

The outgoing COO shared reflections on her tenure, expressing deep gratitude towards the company, its leadership, clients, and colleagues for the rewarding experiences and accomplishments shared.

Saka highlighted the collective achievements and progress made during her leadership.
