THE Spanish Government yesterday said it would work with Nigeria to ensure political stability in order to enhance sustainable growth and development.
The Spanish Ambasador to Nigeria, Alfonso Barnuevo Sebastián de Erice, said this yesterday while commemorating the Spanish National Day, noting that a solid and prosperous Nigeria is important to Spain.
According to him: “The political stability attained after the elections will contribute to enhance the sustainable development and growth of Nigeria. We want to work closely with the new administration.
“The government of Spain trusts the economic reforms of President Buhari and his anti-corruption campaign. Solid policies are essentials to attracting investors. Spain is fortunate to have privileged economic and trade relations with Nigeria. We are Nigeria’s second best customers. We bought in 2014 6.5 billion Euros in oil and gas.
