As the world marks Financial Literacy and Investment Week 2025, Nigerian finance expert Temitope George Ijibadejo has been hailed for his role in transforming the nation’s investment culture through education, innovation, and regulation.
Ijibadejo, an engineer-turned-trader, is the founder of Sure-Fire Investments Ltd and Africa Regional Director for Squared Financial, a Cyprus-based brokerage firm. Over the years, he has helped shape Nigeria’s forex and CFD trading industry from a largely unregulated space into a more structured and professional ecosystem.
He is also a key member of the CFD Brokers Association, which has been working closely with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to establish policies promoting transparency, investor protection, and compliance.
According to Kolawole Okeowo, President of the CFD Brokers Association, Ijibadejo’s influence “brought ethics and structure to an industry once defined by speculation.”
Beyond regulation, Ijibadejo’s passion for financial education has empowered thousands of young Nigerians through mentorship, workshops, and his bestselling book Three to Seven Figures. His initiatives, often in partnership with institutions like the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), focus on responsible trading, emotional intelligence, and ethical wealth creation.
Industry leaders credit him with changing the narrative of forex and investment in Nigeria—from scepticism to trust.
“He showed that financial innovation can serve people, not exploit them,” said Michael Olusegun Akinnagbe, COO of Finbase Capital.
Ijibadejo’s continued advocacy for literacy and sustainable wealth creation aligns with this year’s global theme of informed participation and national economic growth.
