Nigerian youth international, Daniel Bameyi, captain of the Flying Eagles, has completed a transfer to Slovenian side ND Primorje Ajdovščina.

Bameyi, 19, joined ND Primorje Ajdovščina from Nigerian Academy Yum-Yum FC and signed a three-year contract with the club. He spent the previous season on loan at Nigeria Premier Football League side, Bayelsa United.

The transfer was finalised before the closure of the European summer transfer window. Bameyi is expected to join his new club following the conclusion of the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will take place in Chile later this month.

Primarily a defender, Bameyi is capable of playing as both a right-back and a centre-back, providing versatility to his new team’s defensive line.
