Nigeria’s Ambassador to Hungary, Dr. Modupe Enitan Erele, yesterday paid a visit to the Park Inn hotel Radisson of Team Nigeria to motivate them.

The Ambassador told the athletes that President Bola Tinubu is appreciative of their efforts in trying to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians, both at home and in the diaspora.

‘I bring to you a warm message from the Presidency, and to inform you that your efforts is being appreciated.

“I can see that all of you came to Budapest well prepared for this championships. First of all, this is a game for everyone to enjoy themselves. People have their on and off days.

“I watched the women’s long jump event, and I was jumping alongside Ese Brume. I was praying for her to get the medal. She did very well. For those of you who have not started your event, feel relaxed. There will be victories for us to take home,” she stated.

Speaking further, the Ambassador disclosed that the embassy would host the athletes and their officials before the championships end on August 27.
