Style me Africa @ AMVCVA 2024

Liquorose

… Showcasing African fashion originality on AMVCVA red carpet
It is an open book that the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) has over the years become a fundamental fashion spotlight red carpet event beyond the original thrust of being a recognition award presented by MultiChoice to achievements in television and films.

But what is a fashion style at an African base event if it doesn’t showcase Africanism? A noisy clothing and accessories full of plenty zero figures cost price signifying no background, culture or value?

This constant money spree adversity in the name of fashion at AMVCA events in recent times is why it was indeed a beautiful sight to behold when the big screen superstars like Richard Mofe-Damijo, Venita and Neo Akpofure, Roseline Omokhoa Afije popularly known as Liquorose, and several other level headed African stars ensured to keep the glams of African styles from head to toe on the red carpet of the just concluded 10th edition of the AMVCA last weekend.

One good look at the traditional Itsekiri outfits of the ever-gorgeous Venita Akpofure and her charming cousin Neo Akpofure in their unrivaled elegance to the AMVCA 2024 Cultural Day and opening night celebration, and you would appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of African fashion, as well as see why they both won the best cultural dressed male and female this year.

The Veteran Actor and good-looking Richard Mofe-Damijo got everyone dazed when he showed up in that purple evergreen south-west traditional Aso-Oke Agbada with matching accessories all the way. The senior citizen veteran actor indeed gave all the Millennial and Gen-z a run for their sense of style originality. Baba looked like every proper African man should look, not to mention every proper African woman’s dream of a husband!

Liquorose in her southeast/south-south attires was everything a proper woman from every nook and cranny of Africa would desire to look at any time any day.
