Self-acclaimed King of Fuji music, Saheed Okunola, popularly known as Saheed Osupa, thrilled fuji music lovers at the grand finale of the three-day beer carnival held in Ibadan the Oyo State capital.

Organised by Trophy Lager to celebrate Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III’s 80th birthday, the fuji maestro showcased his kingship in the fuji music genre, regaling the audience which included the Iku Baba Yeye and his chiefs.

From his oldies that included Fuji Blues, Masterblaster, Stainless, Dance for Me, Fuji Boggie, No Vacancy to newer vibes like Pacesetter, Non Stop, Ojo Ayo, Ijoba Canvass, Olufimo 1, among others Saheed Osupa enthralled the audience, making them to sing with loud ovations.

The sizzling event, which provided an unforgettable culturally appealing experience for consumers also saw the brand rewarding winners in its ongoing National Consumer Promo tagged, ‘Honourable Millionaires,’ instituted to celebrate Trophy Lager’s 40 years of facilitating goodwill and celebration for Nigerians.

Consumers had a great time, enjoying comedy, drama skits and musical performances from local acts as well.

According to the Consumer Connections Manager, International Breweries Plc, Jumoke Okikiolu, the celebrations are of two-folds.

She said: “On one hand, our decision to celebrate with Kabiyesi is very much aligned with the brand’s values as he is a personage who stands tall in the promotion of Yoruba culture.

“Also, the fiesta served as avenue to celebrate and reward loyalists, who have stood with the Trophy brand for 40 years,” Okikiolu said.

Mr. Funso Elubeku, Marketing Manager, Trophy Lager, IB Plc., noted that at the heart of the promotion is the need to provide a memorable experience for fans.

“We are empowering ‘40 Honourables’ to win N1 million for the duration of the promotion with other consolation prizes such as free instant airtime worth N80m and N40, 000 cash prize weekly for 40 consumers as well.”

Elubeku disclosed that the promotion is not limited to South West alone, as winners have emerged from other regions of the country.
