The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), yesterday, denied issuing or authorising a trending statement regarding the three-part documentary released by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Africa Service, which highlighted allegations of purported maltreatment of some former disciples by the founder of the church, Prophet T.B. Joshua.

It gave the clarification in response to an inquiry, following a trending statement, titled: ‘BBC and its ludicrous hatchet job on Prophet T.B. Joshua’, purportedly issued by the church, in response to the documentary.

SCOAN said: “The church did not issue or authorise the said statement. The church has its standard means of making any official communication with the public which the press is familiar with, and any official communication with the public on this or any other issue will be via those means.”

Meanwhile, a Nigerian singer, Victor Adere, better known as Victor AD, has revealed how the late founder of the church healed him of a skin disease.

Adere made the revelation in a post via his official X handle on Wednesday.

He also claimed that Joshua restored his mother’s hand, which was supposed to be amputated due to a gunshot wound, adding that his sister was healed of blindness during her secondary school days.
