Beyond rhetoric: Accelerating action for gender parity 

Ongoing global focus on the achievements and need to maximise the role of women in society is yet another opportunity to revisit age-old prejudices, socio-legal and traditional or cultural practices and realities that have unfortunately hampered and still hampering the full development of the huge potential of the so-called weaker sex.
