Kano govt bars Sheikh Lawan from preaching

The Kano State Shura Council, the government’s religious advisory body, has barred Islamic cleric Sheikh Lawan Triumph from preaching, following allegations of blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad raised by Islamic groups in the state. The council’s secretary, Shehu Wada Sagagi, announced
