Nigeria may not have solved unemployment, but it has certainly streamlined the options for survival. Today’s young Nigerian has two clear career paths: work legally and stay broke, or bend the rules and cash out. One route comes with certificates and humility; the other comes with burner phones and backup generators. And between both, the country has made it embarrassingly clear which one pays dividends.
