Taraba promises support for storm victims

Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has pledged to assist residents of Takum following a devastating storm that left many homeless.This was disclosed in a statement yesterday by the governor, through his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello.

The storm, which struck on Tuesday evening, caused extensive damage to numerous homes, displacing a significant number of residents. Responding swiftly, Governor Kefas dispatched a team of state officials to assess the situation and provide immediate assistance to those affected.

During his visit to Takum, Governor Kefas personally inspected the affected areas, offering sympathy and encouragement to the victims. In meetings with community leaders and residents, the governor reiterated the government’s commitment to aiding in the reconstruction efforts.

The residents of Takum expressed gratitude for the governor’s prompt response and pledged to collaborate with the government in rebuilding their homes.

Governor Kefas’s visit signals a concerted effort by the state government to provide relief and support to those affected by the natural disaster.

Residents, who spoke with The Guardian, said they are hopeful that with the government’s assistance, they can swiftly recover and rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the storm.
