Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has set up a panel to recover the state’s assets diverted by politicians and past government functionaries.
Constitution of the committee, which was announced by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Gebon Kataps, yesterday, has Maj-Gen. Habila Vintenaba (rtd) as Chairman and Saleh Aji as Secretary.
The Guardian gathered that the committee was given four weeks to ascertain the location of movable and immovable assets of state in any part of the country.
It is expected to make appropriate recommendations to the state government.
Members of the committee include Col. Nwunuke Agyo (rtd), Navy Capt. Atiku Bakari (rtd), Prof. Mahmud Umar and Fatima Hassan.
