During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, DonDada Tech, led by the innovative Lekan Dada, played a pivotal role in ensuring Dominion University, Ibadan, would continue its academic activities without disruption.

Through the deployment of advanced online solutions, including a custom Learning Management System (LMS) integrated with Google for Education services, Dominion University not only maintained its academic calendar but also saw a significant boost in its webometric ranking.

As the pandemic forced educational institutions worldwide to close, Dominion University faced the urgent need to transition to a fully online learning environment.

With the cutting-edge LMS developed by DonDada Tech, the university was able to offer a seamless and comprehensive educational experience. The LMS was designed to integrate seamlessly with Google’s G Suite for Education, now known as Google Workspace for Education, providing students with a robust set of tools essential for their learning journey.

Students were able to access Google Meet for virtual classes, enjoy substantial cloud storage space, and use various collaborative tools within Google Workspace, all through their university-branded email addresses. This integration enabled students to attend lectures, access course materials, submit assignments, and participate in exams, ensuring that their education continued uninterrupted despite the global crisis.

A key component of DonDada Tech’s solution was the development of a secure online examination portal hosted on a dedicated VPS for enhanced security, allowed students to take exams remotely while maintaining academic integrity. Features such as question shuffling and restricted access to authorised users only were implemented to prevent malpractice, ensuring that the standards of the university were upheld.
