New AI platform guides users on personalised career journeys

AI research engineer, Opeyemi Adeniran, has unveiled a new platform that leverages artificial intelligence to guide users on personalised career journeys, transforming how students and professionals pursue career growth.

Speaking through a media statement, she said the platform was created to provide personalised recommendations, learning plans, and actionable steps for smoother career transitions.

The platform, Favoured Online – AI Career Path Recommendation System, uses artificial intelligence to generate tailored career matches, skill-building roadmaps and even interview preparation resources, offering users a structured approach to professional development.

At the core of the system is the ability to take a user’s academic or professional background and generate step-by-step recommendations.

In a demonstration, the platform identified “Data Analyst” as a top career match with 90 percent alignment, estimating a 6–12 month transition timeline for the user.

It then created a personalised learning plan that began with courses such as Introduction to Data Analytics (Coursera), SQL for Data Science (Udacity) and Python for Data Analysis (DataCamp), while also recommending tools like Tableau for visualisation and advanced modules in machine learning.

The AI-generated action plan includes mastering SQL fundamentals in four to six weeks, learning Python for Data Analysis with pandas and NumPy, building a portfolio of three to five projects using real-world datasets, adopting networking strategies via LinkedIn and meetups and preparing for interviews with SQL questions and behavioural STAR-method scenarios.

To ensure users remain competitive, the platform also features an AI Market Intelligence module that scans job market data to highlight salary trends, in-demand certifications and employer requirements.

She further explained that this feature was designed to ensure that the time and resources invested by users align with real industry needs.

Another defining feature is the AI Career Roadmap, which breaks career progression into phases. Each stage outlines skills to acquire, milestones and deliverables, bridging the gap between learning and job readiness.

Speaking on the significance of the project, Adeniran said, “This gives people a clear picture of not only what to learn, but also when and how to apply it. The goal is to make career navigation as structured and rewarding as possible.”

The platform, which was launched in May, has since been in use and has been providing career path recommendations to many users.

Also, the platform is already providing digital badges, project-based certifications and a growing community.

According to Adeniran, future updates will include expanded mentoring opportunities and further reinforcement of its mission of “Making Learning Rewarding.”

Adeniran is an AI research engineer with a track record of using technology to drive socio-economic impact and her work continues to reflect a commitment to innovation and human capital development.

Her goal is to help students, professionals and practitioners successfully transition from any career path into tech.
