Tech Now Global marks five years with launch of opportunity platform, Anfani

Tech Now Global (TNG) has marked its fifth anniversary, reflecting on a half-decade of digital capacity building and youth empowerment across Nigeria and wider Africa. The milestone coincided with the unveiling of Anfani, an opportunity discovery platform developed by Beere Software, the technology firm co-founded by the same team behind TNG, David Onilude and Kazeem Quadri.

Founded in Badagry, Lagos, TNG has spent five years equipping young people with digital and entrepreneurial skills, reaching more than 100 schools in 32 communities. Speaking at a media briefing held to mark the anniversary, Onilude and Quadri recounted the organisation’s beginnings, describing a mission to make technology accessible to underserved communities.

“The journey has always been about more than skills; it is about enabling young people to take charge of their futures,” Onilude said. The co-founders noted that a significant portion of TNG’s core team—around 80 per cent—have gone on to launch their own initiatives, extending the impact of the organisation across the continent.

The anniversary celebration also served as the platform to introduce Anfani, a digital assistant designed to help young people identify and monitor scholarships, internships, grants, and professional programmes suited to their skills and aspirations. Developed under Beere Software, Anfani seeks to close gaps in access to opportunities, ensuring users are alerted to programmes that match their profiles.

“With Anfani, no more chances are missed — just pathways unlocked,” Onilude explained. “It’s built to find and remind users of opportunities meant for them — because access should never be the reason someone is left behind.”

Quadri added that the two initiatives represent complementary aspects of their broader vision. “Tech Now Global represents our mission; Beere Software represents our method,” he said. “Together, they show how young Africans can build solutions that uplift communities and shape the continent’s digital future.”

As Africa’s technology ecosystem continues to expand, the fifth anniversary of Tech Now Global and the launch of Anfani underscore the potential of youth-led innovation to transform lives, providing tools and skills for participation in the digital economy while supporting inclusive growth across the continent.
