Uzor Augustine Izu was born into a large family with six children, being the third son. His father, Uzor Emeodi Gabriel, is a wealthy businessman and farmer. Due to the nature of his father’s job, the family relocated to Suleja, Niger State, when Uzor was very young. This move marked the beginning of a series of educational and personal developments for Uzor.
Upon arriving in Suleja, Uzor Augustine attended Divine International Schools. However, due to another relocation within the city, he transferred to Shaibu Naibi Primary and Secondary School while in primary 3. Here, Uzor completed his primary education and commenced his junior secondary education, which he concluded in 2008. During his time in junior secondary school, Uzor held significant leadership positions, such as the president of the Scripture Union and Yellow House captain, reflecting his strong character and commitment to his Christian faith.
Uzor began his senior secondary education at Hill Side Model International but did not conclude there due to another relocation. He moved to Port Harcourt to work as a supermarket assistant while continuing his education. Here, he learned valuable management and people skills, and was responsible for the arrangement and beautification of the supermarket. Uzor graduated from senior secondary school in 2015 with good grades.
In 2016, Uzor wrote the JAMB exam and gained admission to study Agricultural and Environmental Engineering at Rivers State University, Nigeria. As a political and ambitious young man, he contested for departmental president against Eguluka Bright but lost the election. He graduated with a second-class upper division. During his university days, Uzor was actively involved with the Nigerian Society of Engineers and obtained safety certifications from the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON). He specialized in farm power and machinery, developing a passion for farm power machines, tractors, petrol engines, and diesel engines.
After graduation, Uzor worked with Autolubricity Nigeria Limited in Asaba, Delta State, where he was trained to handle complex petrol and diesel engines. His engineering background made it comfortable for him to work as a full-time technician. In November 2023, Uzor secured a job as the spare parts manager at GAC Motors Nigeria. In addition to his role at GAC Motors, Uzor is the CEO of Uzor Motors Academy, an automobile academy that offers a wide range of automobile services and is fully registered in Nigeria.
Uzor’s leadership abilities were evident from a young age. Serving as the Scripture Union president and Yellow House captain showcased his capability to lead with integrity and inspire others through his faith and actions. Moving to different regions and adapting to various roles highlighted Uzor’s resilience and ability to thrive in new environments. Known as a brilliant student, Uzor consistently excelled academically, earning the respect and admiration of his teachers and peers. Uzor’s strong Christian values and compassion for others have guided his actions and decisions.
