Text: Romans 12:1-2

Key Verse: Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” (KJV)

When someone says he has given his life to Christ, it means that everything contrary to God will not be found in his life. The challenge is that today, we have so many people who claim they have given their lives to Christ, but the evidence of being true children of God is lacking in them. If their claims are true; so, where does all those evils come from? Where does all these ungodliness come from? Where does all these Christlessness come from? Where does all these worldliness come from? When you say it is no longer you that lives, that it is now Christ; where do all these strange things come from? They should not be there, they should have gone out and if they have not gone out, then you got to pray until they go out of your life, so that, you will be a proper child of God. You are blood bought, you are blood washed, you are spirit filled, you are a child of God, full of the Holy Ghost and living to the glory God. These evil acts of have to go, so that, the devil will not come and accuse you and whenever he accuses you, you will enjoy the Scripture that says no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises against me shall be condemned because Christ lives in me (Isaiah 54:17).

You have got to die to sin; you have got to die to the flesh and you have got to die to pride, arrogance and all those things of the flesh, but live to the glory of God. Every day you are alive, you are a sacrifice to God, so God owns you; you no longer own yourself, that is what the Apostle Paul says in Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”

The song writer sang: “It’s no longer I that liveth, but Christ that liveth in me. It’s no longer I that liveth, but Christ that liveth in me.” It is no longer you who lives because you have been crucified with Christ. Christ lives in you and the life, which you now live in the flesh, you live by faith in the Son of God who loved you and died for your sins.

God is a wonderful God and He has given us opportunity to repent. Whatever the number of years He has allowed you to live on earth is for you to repent, that is why He said now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). He says today when you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, but open up yourself. I beseech you, therefore, my beloved by the mercies of God who has kept you alive, He has given you good health, strength and hearing ears. You have heard the word of God repeatedly, please present your bodies a living sacrifice for God. You do it personally, happily, joyfully and intelligently. To give your life to Christ is the greatest intelligence you can exercise on this side of Heaven because any other intelligence outside Christ stops here. The decision to give your life to Christ is the only intelligence that will stay with you on earth and stay with you forever in the presence of God.
