President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday approved the appointment of new members of the management team of the FGN Power Company Limited.
Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale announced the appointments in a statement.
Ngelale said Kenny Osebi Anuwe has been reappointed as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the FGN Power Company Limited.
Prof Mamman Lawal has been reappointed as Company Secretary/Legal Advisor while Ebenezer Olawale Fapohunda is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
Babatunde Daramola Oniru is the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of the company while Julius Oyekola Olabiyi has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
“The President anticipates that with the full constitution of the management team, the FGN Power Company Limited will work assiduously to realize the core objectives of the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI) in close collaboration with Siemens Energy,” Ngelale stated.
The presidential spokesman added that Tinubu expects this to happen through a holistic overhaul, modernization and expansion of the national grid and other critical measures to ensure the growth of the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
