The election petition tribunal in Kano State has upheld the victory and declaration of Senator Rufai Sani Hanga of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) as duly elected senator representing Kano Central senatorial district.
The tribunal equally dismissed the petition filed by APC Senatorial candidate Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura challenging the validity of the NNPP candidate’s victory.
The presiding Judge, Justice I.P Chima awarded the sum of N600,000 against the petitioner for wasting the precious time of the court.
