Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos, has announced its maiden convocation ceremonies, slated for Wednesday, February 21, to Friday, February 23, 2024.
The university’s Principal Assistant Registrar (Corporate Affairs), Michael Bamigbola, in a statement, that the three-day event, with the theme ‘Convoking a Galaxy of Trinity Stars’, will start with a press conference and a programme of student activities on Wednesday.
The fully accredited university by the National Universities Commission has matriculated five sets of students and graduated two sets, who would graduate in the coming ceremonies, since its existence in 2018.
The convocation lecture titled, ‘Disruptive Technology: The Ambiguous Friend!,’ will be delivered by Prof. Adenike Osofisan, the first African woman Professor of Computer Science, and chaired by Deacon Adebowale Tade, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Trinity University on Thursday, February 22, 2024. It will be followed by a Thanksgiving service.
“The convocation ceremony on Friday, February 23, 2024, will feature the investiture of the chancellor, presentation of prizes, and awards of honourary and first degrees.
