True Foundation commences 2024 free vocational training programme

As part of its annual schedule of activities, True Foundation has commenced its 2024 free vocational training programme.

The first cohort of their 2024 programme will be formed with the indigenous people of Byazthin, Kubwa Zone 3, Abuja.

True Foundation for Africa is a non-profit organisation committed to empowering underserved youths and women led families, by providing free skills acquisition trainings.


Founded in 2010, the NGO has reached over 4,000 families and delivered over 30 sessions of vocational trainings nationwide.

The foundation known for their skills acquisition programme commenced this session on the 13th of May. Indigenous delegates will be taught Baking, Barbing and Makeup skills.

The founder of True Foundation, Ms. Onose Brenda Ataga who has been consistent in delivering this program to various communities in Nigeria for the past 13 years, expressed her views on her passion to promote communal economies by training the people in such high impact skills.

She explained that her vision is to broadly change the narrative of the unemployed in their local economies by equipping its indigenes with skills that are easy to learn and deploy to enable each family fend for themselves.

In addition to the training she explained that to actualize this vision, each delegate will receive a business starter pack to enable them immediately engage in the activity they just learnt so they can start earning an income.

The founder, Onose Brenda Ataga promised to continue doing her quota on youths and community development through this vocational training, and charitable outreach. She said, they have collaborated with many private NGOs and are open to more synergies with the government, individuals, national and international agencies.
