UK-based Nigerian, Olabamidele Badmos shaping Black Business Sector in Sheffield

On April 6th, 2024, the YAGI Trade Fair for Black Businesses took place in Sheffield, organized by Olabamidele Badmos, an Event Producer and Marketing Consultant specializing in Entertainment. This trade fair served as a platform to showcase the vibrant black business community in Sheffield and celebrate their entrepreneurial spirit. The event was set to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and economic growth in Uk economy.


The YAGI Trade Fair garnered significant attention, with over 75 black-owned businesses registering to participate. The event took place at Sadacca Wicker, attracting a diverse audience of over 300 individuals. This remarkable turnout demonstrated the interest and support for black businesses within the community.

Olabamidele Badmos, through his event company CRUX NXTION EVENTS, has consistently strived to promote African cultural heritage, trade, and belief within the local economy. The YAGI Trade Fair showcased the diversity and creativity of black-owned businesses, providing them with a platform to exhibit their products and services to a wider audience.

The YAGI Trade Fair not only celebrated entrepreneurship but also contributed to the economic growth of Sheffield. Future Plans:
During a conversation with Olabamidele Badmos, he shared his vision for future events which include the “Naija Food Carnival – From Fire to Fry Pan,” an annual event aimed at bringing a taste of Nigeria to the UK. This event not only aims to promote Nigerian culture but also seeks to address the emotional well-being of Nigerian immigrants who miss the comfort of their homeland. Olabamidele has partnered with 20 licensed food vendors to provide an authentic culinary experience, while Nigerian artists will entertain and educate attendees about Nigerian culture.
