Up your game, LASUSTECH VC urges staff members

The acting Vice-Chancellor of the newly created Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) Dr. Oluremi Nurudeen Olaleye, has tasked staff members to rise up to the challenge of giving the new institution a head start, stressing that the transmutation would not only task their imagination but requires them to be more dutiful, as well as display improved efficiency and proficiency in service delivery.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, recently appointed Olaleye as the acting vice-chancellor of LASUSTECH formerly Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), Ikorodu. Olaleye was the rector of the polytechnic.


While addressing members of staff at a town hall meeting, at the School of Agriculture Auditorium, Ikorodu Campus, Olaleye, expressed gratitude to Sanwo-Olu for considering him for the appointment.

In a statement by the school, the vice-chancellor also expressed gratitude to the Special Adviser on Education to the Governor, Mr. Tokunbo Philip Wahab, and the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, for efforts geared towards the successful transmutation of the institution.

He equally informed the staff members that the governor has him that no staff would lose his or her job due to the transmutation.
