This is as about twelve commissioner nominees were, yesterday, screened by the state House of Assembly under the speakership of Chike Olemgbe.

Prominent among the screened nominees included Declan Emelumba, former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Raph Nwosu, former Commissioner for Works, and Major Ejikeme Emenike, former Commissioner for Environment.

Others were Chimezie Amadi, Bede Ekeh, Cosmas Madauba, Dr. Chika Benson Abazu, Ozo Obinna Ogwuegbu, Osakwe Modestus, Anyanwu Anselem Ezechinyere, Onyeoha Obinna Evaristus and Nkechi Ugwu.

The Guardian gathered that aside from the commissioner nominees, the governor is also set to make public the appointment of his Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants.

Till now, there have been several calls on the governor to appoint new aides to help him pilot the affairs of the state.
