Actress Vanessa Hudgens was spotted leaving the hospital in a wheelchair with her newborn baby in her arms on July 4 2024. The 35-year-old star and her husband, 27-year-old American baseball player Cole Tucker, have welcomed their first child together.
Hudgens first announced her pregnancy at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony in March 2023. The High School Musical star and Tucker met in 2021 during a virtual meditation session. They have been dating for two years before getting engaged in February 2023.
The actress described the experience saying, “I was literally on the Zoom with my girlfriend. And I started hitting her asking who he was, and she had never seen him before. So I proceeded to look on the Zoom square to find out his name and found him on Instagram. And he sent a DM the next day.”
The sex of the baby has not been disclosed. The couple has chosen to keep details about the birth private.

Speaking to Vogue in an interview last year, Vanessa described seeing her husband, Cole Tucker, on the altar as the “most emotional of my life.”
She added, “I literally keeled over when I saw Cole and had to take a big breath and had to force myself to keep walking because I could have dropped to the floor.” she told the magazine.
She added that the vows they exchanged were the “most beautiful thing ever.”
Speaking on her wedding ceremony that took place on Sunday, 2 December, she said, “I couldn’t have dreamt it to be any better. I knew it was going to be magical, but it exceeded my expectations.”
