Varsity gets nod to commence academic activities

The management of Al-Muhibbah Open University has announced the commencement of academic programmes for the 2023/ 2024 session. Addressing journalists on the development, the registrar, Muslim Maigari, said the school is fully equipped with modern infrastructure to produce 21st century globally competitive students.

Al-Muhibbah is among the four private institutions recently licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to operate open and distance learning.

The approved programmes are business administration, economics, accounting, international relations, Marketing, project management, and entrepreneurship.

Others are computer science, cyber security, software engineering, public health, nursing science, data science and analytics, and healthcare and hospital management.

Speaking on the approval of the academic programmes, Maigari assured of smooth and hitch-free academic sessions, adding that the school has put all the needed human and material resources in place to ensure smooth academic activities.

“We are delighted to receive the approval from the NUC to commence academic activities with 14 courses,” the registrar said.
