VC warns new students against vices

Kola Daisi University

Vice-Chancellor, Kola Daisi University (KDU) Ibadan, Prof Adeniyi Olatunbosun, has advised the newly admitted students of the institution to shun vices and acts capable of aborting their lifelong dreams.

Olatunbosun, who made the plea at the 2023/2024 matriculation ceremony of the institution, reminded that diligence remains the pathway to achieving resounding success.

The ceremony was held for 366 new students, drawn across faculties of applied sciences; arts, management and social sciences, basic medical sciences and law.

The vice-chancellor, who spoke on the theme: ‘’Education: A pathway to a secured future,’’ emphasised the importance of hard work in the actualisation of life goals.

‘’Therefore, don’t be lazy about your daily work. Do all assignments, and class work yourself. You can get a tutorial from a classmate or a senior, but get it first and assimilate it, thus making the knowledge yours.”
