Share with us your growing up and sojourn into comedy?
I grew up with a single mum in Surulere. I have an elder sister; my parents were separated till my father died in 2014. I attended Rightville Primary School in Surulere where my comedy passion started. I also attended Faith Academy from 2003 to 2009 in Otta Ogun State. It was a boarding school. There were so many challenges growing up but we have survived it. Also, the gift of comedy has always been in me, right from my primary school days. I even won an award for being the most humorous boy in 2003 just when I was leaving primary school. My mum is so funny as well, I grew up watching and hearing her say and do so many hilarious things.

Did you know you would make a career path in comedy?
For sure! I was sure by 15 years of age of my comedy pathway. I also have a strong belief that anyone and I can achieve everything and anything that I set my mind to achieve.

You are a comic actor, compere and standup comedian. How are you able to develop and nurture your skill?
I watch a lot of comedy movies and standup comedians. I don’t even watch football. I am a comedy addict and I don’t joke with my addictions.

What challenges have you faced in the course of your career?
The only challenges are national challenges like the high cost of fuel, it has its way of affecting movie and comedy skit productions. But like Fela said, we sabi suffer and smile, so we are used to it

What new project are you working on, what should we expect this New Year?
This year, by the grace of God, expect the funniest standup comedy special I have ever done.

What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion to me is the art of style that brings out your most confident self. It can be expressed in any way or form.

What is your style?
My style of comedy is mostly visual; my facial expressions tell the joke and my fashion style is anything that doesn’t make me sweat.

Who are your role models?
Comedians Basketmouth and Bovi

What is your favourite local dish?
Pounded yam and Afang soup

What would you have been doing if not comedy?
I would have been an amazing music artiste. I’m still going to sing very soon

How would you describe the industry and its growth process?
The music industry is the only industry that I can say has experienced exponential growth. The comedy and movie industry na every man for himself, but all growth na growth regardless.

What are your hobbies?
I love reading and watching comedy-related content
