We Won’t Bury Mohbad Until Autopsy And DNA Report -Dad

Mr. Joseph Aloba, father of the late Nigerian musician MohBad, has revealed that the family will not proceed with the burial until the autopsy results explaining the cause of MohBad’s death and the DNA paternity testing results for his grandson, Liam, are available.

Expressing the need for closure, Aloba emphasised on TVC the significance of the DNA paternity testing, citing an incident when someone else collected Liam’s placenta after birth. He clarified that MohBad had initially been buried but had to be exhumed to determine the cause of death, leading to the current delay.

“We need the DNA and autopsy results. It is very important. So those are the things that are delaying. After those ones, we can make a move,” Aloba stated in the interview.

When asked about the delay and the importance of DNA testing, he explained, “We the family need the DNA (results) for some reasons because when Liam was born, I don’t know the person they gave the placenta to.”

Concerns were raised when MohBad called his father after Liam’s birth, indicating that arrangements had been made for someone else to handle the burial details, including the placenta. Aloba emphasized the cultural significance of the placenta in Yoruba tradition and expressed the family’s determination to uncover the truth.

“I want to know the person they gave the placenta to, and this is why I need the DNA and the autopsy to be out before we can do the burial,” he declared.

Aloba asserted that he is prepared to wait for the results, no matter how long it takes, and mentioned the possibility of a private test for Liam if necessary. The family remains steadfast in their pursuit of clarity and closure surrounding MohBad’s untimely passing.
