He made this disclosure on Friday in Amman Jordan where his delegation inspected some hotels ahead of the 2022 Christian pilgrimage exercise.
A statement made available to journalists by Godiya Mathew, NCPC Information Officer 1, said the delegation was pleased with the hotels inspected in Jordan.
He noted that issues of pilgrims’ health and environment would not be taken for granted, adding that safety was also put into consideration.
He added that the commission was set for the 2021 general pilgrimage exercise.
Pam further said the delegation visited Bethany where they saw the traditional baptismal site of Jesus Christ.
Another site also visited was Mount Nebo, where the delegation marveled at the view where Moses looked across to the promised land and where he was later buried.
Prayers were said by the NCPC Board Chairman, Rev. Yomi Kasali on the mountain.
The NCPC boss also conducted an inspection of the aircraft at the Queen Alia Airport, with him inspection were representatives of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA.
He said they made a physical inspection of the aircraft and affirmed that the aircraft used by the commission is an operational aircraft.
Pam acknowledged that NCAA already has a longtime relationship with the Jordanian aviation authorities and as such, no problem would envisaged.
“We were informed that the technical inspection of the aircraft would be conducted three weeks before the commencement of the pilgrimage exercise.
The Executive Secretary said early preparations would lead to ensuring a successful and hitch-free exercise.
