We’re transforming Osun, Adeleke tells The Secretariat Club

Governor Ademola Adeleke

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said his government is transforming Osun State, especially in the area of agriculture

He said the transformation was ongoing despite the huge debt burden inherited from the immediate past government in the state.
According to him, the work in the state has to be done and he will not join governments that give excuses for challenges inherited from previous governments.

“We are transforming Osun State for good and I invite everyone to visit to see how they can benefit or contribute to the ongoing transformation,” he said.

He spoke in Lagos, at the weekend, when he visited The Secretariat Club in Lagos.
Adeleke, while recalling his relationship with the club before he became a governor, said: “Each time I come here, I see improvement. I pledge to support a plan by the club to build a befitting new secretariat.

Earlier, President of the club, Ayodeji Randle, described Adeleke as a visionary governor taking Osun State to new heights.
He said: “Our hearts had leaped for joy when we received confirmation to visit our club. We are completely grateful for this singular honour and

“Your visit today will leave an indelible mark in the history of the club and this will go a long way in the branding targets of our club, which is one of this Management Council’s visions.”

Randle, while congratulating the governor on his electoral victory in the governorship election, said: “Your achievements in these few months in office show you’re a visionary leader that is not ready to settle for less. Our prayers are with you for more success.”
He used the opportunity to brief the governor that the club aimed at promoting inter-ethnic and inter-racial understanding among people to further cement the heterogeneous society of Nigeria.

He, however, disclosed plans by the club to build a five-storey clubhouse through members’ contributions and donations from individuals, corporate organisations and the government.
In his remarks, Chairman, Board of Trustees of the club, Anthony Temitayo Olaleye, said the visit by the governor confirmed the club’s status as a club for decent and well-meaning Nigerians.

He said: “Governor Adeleke is a friend of the club. Most members are friends with him. Coming here today shows that he still identifies with us even as a governor. We are very happy to receive him and we know he is very happy to be in our midst.

“His coming today is a boost to our club as a club of integrity, a club with honourable, very decent and responsible professionals as members.
