What I learnt from Del-York Creative Academy – Actress Akpana Benedicta

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Akpana Benedicta Ogbang has shared some of her challenging projects from her time at the Del-York Creative Academy, a top film school in Nigeria and Africa’s foremost capacity-building institution for Acting, Screenwriting, 3D animation and others.

The former SA to the governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade explained that though she worked on lots of projects , the challenging one was acting as a producer onset and filling in roles with limited actors.

She said: “I did a couple of projects while at the academy but the most challenging was the final project titled “13th Hour” where I was a producer on set and I had to fill in one of the roles with the other actors in the film because they were limited acting students in the school at the time.

“I overcame that with the help of the people management skills that I gandered while at the academy because I worked with people who were really good at making sure I had the best skills of interpreting roles professionally,” She explained.

Benedicta said she’s working on a blockbuster which would shake the movie industry soonest.
