What must I do to be blessed?

Proverbs 10:22, “The blessing of the Lord maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrows.”

Everybody needs the good things of life for his or her welfare. It is only God in His infinite mercy and goodness that has the ultimate power to bless and to make anyone rich. For this, it is expedient for everyone living on this earth to attract God’s presence to himself. When we have divine presence in our lives, then there is the tendency of having the good things of life with peace. When a man lacks the necessary things of life, he will be dispirited and angry with himself. His life will be filled with worries and complaints. However, all these gloomy situations will go away once Jesus Christ comes into such a life; he will be filled with happiness and joy. It is on this backdrop that the Bible emphatically states in Matthew 6:31-33 that: “Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or what shall we drink? Or, wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

The God’s blessings are naturally for His children. The above scripture advises us to seek God and find Him, so that, we may partake of the blessings reserved for the members of His royal family. This will also make us an heir in God’s kingdom. It is a simple arithmetic; serve the Lord in holiness and righteousness and He will in turn care for your wellbeing, make provisions for you to get the good things of life here on earth and also grant you eternal life in heaven. You do not need to compromise, just render selfless service to God and He will bless you.

Deuteronomy 28:1-4 confirms this: “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. 3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. 4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. 5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.”

All human beings are God’s creation; He gave us life, but demands obedience to His words and diligent service, which will in turn attract more protection and open doors to us. Whoever sincerely adheres to His commands is set above His equals in terms of blessings, influence, protection and eternal life at the end of this earthly life. The blessings of God are not far-fetched; one simply needs to open oneself to the service of God through obedience to His words. Man is meant to do the work of God, serve Him and spread the gospel to others.

Through evangelism, people hear the words of God, accept them and are delivered from their evil bondages. When people are set free God is happy. God is also happy with anyone that wins souls for His kingdom. He blesses such person or persons. If you want the blessings of God, you must make haste to do His will by winning souls for His kingdom.

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the head of the church. He is the author and the finisher of our faith and as such we are to look unto Him, draw inspiration from Him and toe His footsteps to bring souls to God’s kingdom.

In John 8:29, the Bible says: “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” Our Lord Jesus Christ finished the work He was sent to do; He pleased God. He was crucified for the salvation of mankind. All these pleased God and he gave Him all the powers under heaven that at the mention of His name every knee must bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord. All that the Almighty God has been given to His son, Jesus Christ, according to Luke 15v31 and by extension to His children — all true believer.

As the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, if we serve God faithfully all that God has will be ours. In Luke 15:31, the Bible says: “And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.” The above scripture is the promise of God to all His faithful children. If we will serve Him, all that He has will be available to us.

This year according to the divine declaration, the chosen of God, will have dominion anywhere they go; people will favour them, their businesses, work places and other areas of life will flourish. They will be blessed above their equals and miracles will be made manifest in whatever they lay their hands upon. In all these, one thing is highly needed; the salvation of their souls. This is uppermost before God. So, we must be sure to live a holy and righteous life always. We must give our life to Jesus Christ and earnestly run the race to make heaven at the end of this life on earth.

In Luke 3:10-14 the Bible says: “And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? 11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. 12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? 13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. 14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.” God needs everyone to come to repentance, forsake all known and unknown sins and give his or her life to our Lord Jesus Christ. We should live a holy and righteous life and do good to all that come in contact with us.

Our lives should be a reflection of that of our Lord Jesus Christ. In living a life devoid of sin, the blessing of God will be our portion and we will make heaven at last in Jesus’ name.

Testimony Of The Lord’s Doing

God, The Helper Of The Helpless

I AM Sister Ngozi Omuekwu. I am from Delta State. I joined this ministry in 2014 and I thank God for that. When I finished secondary school, I got admission to further my university education and needed N100,000 to pay my school fees and get other personal effects, but the money was not there. So, I began to do menial jobs to raise fund. While doing this, I was always coming to church, praying, sowing seeds and looking unto God for help. In one of the combined services, I was in the service, but seriously in tears and G.O prayed and said: “That person that needs funding, God will favour you.” I claimed it. Miraculously, the director of the company where I was working asked me to see him in his office with my documents on a particular Monday. I went as instructed and after checking the documents, said he has seen me before and it seems now that my face has changed. He asked, if he paid my first semester fees, who would pay the rest? I said, I don’t know, but believe God will provide. Then he said, from my very first semester to the last that he will be responsible for everything that concerned my education.

Brethren that was how God granted me favour and scholarship. Praise the Lord! Our God is so great.

Also, while in school and during my 200 Level, I came for the International Youth programme here in 2018. I worked in the Youth Security department. I was standing at the gate, when a sister gave a testimony of how she graduated as the overall best student in her school and also, how she opened a campus fellowship. When I returned to my school, I went to meet the branch Pastor in that community and told him of my intention to open a campus fellowship in my school. He helped me and we rented a place and started the fellowship and God has been of great help to us. Today, I graduated as the overall best student in my department, overall best in my faculty and the overall best in my school with a CGPA of 4.93 and an automatic employment.

I really appreciate God for helping me greatly. I made a vow to God that if He helped me graduate with first class, I will come here with the sum of N50,000. I am now here with the money. Praise the Lord.
