An elegant but casual outfit is all you need for a ‘dress-down’ workday, a popular policy that allows corporate workers to wear casual attire to the office at the end of the week.
The dress-down workday varies in different corporate organisations. While in some organisations it commences on Thursdays through Fridays, in others, it is observed only on Fridays.
How to dress down to work
It is dressing down, not dressing half-nude, so maintain a professional look while wearing casual clothing. Male or female, the advice is to opt for smart casual clothing on dress-down days.
Male: A clean shirt and a pair of trousers go well together. A pair of smart jeans trousers with either a lambswool sweater, a cardigan, or a well-cut tweed jacket would come out perfect too.
Female: A body-fitted solid colour pair of jeans trousers or skirt free from rips and holes, with either button-down tops or stylish blouses and T-shirts would do.
Footwear:
For male and female, it is best to stick to closed-toe shoes. However, clean sneakers would also suit.
