WILAN Global launches month-long campaign for women’s leadership and inclusion

This month of March, the Women In Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN) marks the beginning of a comprehensive campaign celebrating International Women’s Day 2024. Titled “WILAN 31 Days of Advocacy” the campaign seeks to unearth Bias, Inspiring Inclusion,” the campaign aims to shed light on the barriers hindering women’s leadership journey and foster inclusive environments for them to thrive.

“We are thrilled to launch this month-long initiative,” says Itunu Hunga, the Communications Lead at WILAN Global. “By promoting awareness about unconscious bias and celebrating women’s achievements, we can create a world where leadership roles truly reflect the diversity of talent available.”

The campaign will run for 31 days, culminating on International Women’s Day (March 8th, 2024). Key activities include:

● WILAN 31 Days of Advocacy: Daily social media content tackling unconscious bias, sharing inspiring stories, and offering practical solutions.

● “Write a Note to a Leader” Initiative: Individuals can download templates and share messages of encouragement for women leaders on social media using the hashtag – #WILANHerStory.

● Downloadable and Customizable Pledge Badge: A visual commitment to “ending gender bias” against women in leadership, sparking conversations and amplifying the message.

● “Street Stories”: Interviews with women sharing real-life experiences with gender bias, raising awareness and fostering empathy.

This campaign targets young adults, professionals, and individuals in leadership positions to influence future generations, ignite change within the workforce, and encourage self-reflection on diversity and inclusion practices.
