Poised to reach out to the less privileged in society, convener of Touch A Life, Make A Difference (TALMAD), Adeola Sessi-Traore, has said that the outreach has afforded her the opportunity to leave meaningful impact in the lives of people.

At its event tagged, Christmas Cantata, over 100 children gathered at the Grandeur Events Centre, Ikeja and treated in fulfilled activities of games, dancing and gifts.

Sessi-Traore who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Lemonytouch Events, a leading contractor in events planning and consulting said that TALMAD which is in its 10th edition has been making a positive impact on the lives of underserved socio-economic classes.

According to her, “honestly, I would say it’s been miraculous. It is not human; it is always an assignment from God. Christmas is the most amazing time to me. I love Christmas. And, having planned ten editions of Touch a Life, Make A Difference, just as the name connotes, it has been about giving back, showing love and doing Christmas with people beyond my family, the society, the less privileged, ten editions, it’s been an amazing journey and it’s always a bigger task after the other, I didn’t believe we would be able to pull this together, so, I’m happy.”

Having experienced firsthand the plight of many marginalised communities in Lagos, Sessi-Traore stated that it was important to use the spirit of Christmas to spread love and happiness to as many of them as possible.

“When I visit communities, and I see how people live there; I’ve been to Makoko, Oko Agbon, Ibeju Agbe, I’ve been to Orphanages, and I see that it’s a privilege, that we are alive first to celebrate the birth of Christ. And most importantly, there are people for whom Christmas is just another day. It is always an achievement for me when I see that I’m putting a smile on the faces of people in the community, and they see that Christmas is actually a season to celebrate,” she added.

For this landmark edition of TALMAD, all communities and orphanages that had been reached out to from the event’s very first edition were invited to be a part of a special Christmas Cantata. “All the orphanages we’ve ever visited from inception, from the very first time, to all the communities we’ve ever visited, everyone is under one roof today.

Normally, we would visit or invite, but this time around we brought everyone, so this is spectacular for us.”

Sessi-Traore predicted huge things for Lemonytouch Events, insisting they would continue to set the pace in the events planning industry: “We are one of the next biggest planners to look forward to in Africa and of course on the international front. Lemonytouch Events is an events business that offers a personalised events service experience. Our families are expanding, because every client that signs up with us becomes our family. I can say that we are here for a lifetime.”
