The International Women’s Day was celebrated recently. There are women who have greatly performed in their various field of endeavours.
One of such young, creative, focused and successful women is Daniella Okeke, who is a Nollywood star, filmmaker, model and enterpreneur.
She believes one can achieve anything if he or she is focused and have passion.
Okeke is the founder/Chief Executive Officer of Dcovi Entertainment and also run a non governmental organisation known as Daniella Okeke Foundation, which helps the downtrodden in the society. Through her foundation, she has embarked on laudable school and community projects.
According to Okeke, “We have a lot of creative women who are doing exceedingly well. She said the International Women’s Day is set aside on March 8 every year to celebrate the achievements of outstanding women all over the world.
“There is no limit to what a woman can do, if she set her mind to it. Bold is the woman who is the heroine of her own story. Women are proving their mettle and still doing greater things.”
The Fine and Applied Art graduate had featured in movies like ‘Indecent Desire’, ‘Sleek Ladies’, Show Me Heaven’, Stronger Than Pain’, ‘Heart Of a Widow’, ‘Friends or Foes’, “The Johnsons’ (TV drama series), ‘Lagos Cougar’, and others too numerous to mention.
She has also received different awards for her outstanding contributions.
The actress advised young women to never be afraid to take that bold step. Okeke also urged them to be strong and strive to be the best in their different walks of life.
“If you have been afraid and stopping yourself from being who you truly are for too long, let all that self-doubt go. If you have been insecure about your abilities and afraid to take risks for too long, let go of the loser mentality. It’s time to let it all go,” she said.
